Principal

I am excited to have the opportunity to serve as the principal of South Middle School. My goal each day is to learn and grow professionally and personally. I’m originally from Nebraska and enjoy cheering on the Huskers. In my free time I enjoy many outdoor activities, sports, learning new hobbies, exploring the Black Hills and watching my kids grow up and participating in activities. I look forward to the future and all the great things South Middle School has done and will do!

Assistant Principal

I am excited to continue serving the students, staff, and families of the South Rebels community. Prior to this role, I served as the school's Dean of Students and brought 25 years of experience in education. I am passionate about building positive relationships, supporting student success, and creating a safe, welcoming learning environment for all students. Outside of school, I enjoy a wide variety of sports and spending time outdoors through activities such as hiking, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor adventures with my wife and 3 kids.

Dean of Students

I look forward to serving as Dean of Students at South Middle School. It will be a privilege to work with the students, families, and staff of a school that I was fortunate enough to attend myself.

With 31 years of experience in education, I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of capacities throughout my career. I value building positive relationships and creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow in all areas of their development. I believe that strong relationships and a focus on student growth are essential to building a positive school community.

On a personal note, I truly enjoy living in the Black Hills and spending time outdoors. I am an avid outdoorsman and appreciate all that this community has to offer.

I am honored to serve the South Middle School community and to give back to a school that was an important part of my own educational journey.
